Boarding Requirements

  • All pets must be non-aggressive towards dogs, cats, and people

  • All pets must be spayed or neutered

  • All pets must be up-to-date on the following:

    • Rabies vaccine

    • Distemper vaccine

    • Bordetella vaccine (dogs only)

    • Negative FIV/FeLV test (cats only)

    • Annual negative fecal test

    • Flea preventative

Mandatory 2-Week Waiting Period Following Any Bordetella Vaccination

The Bordetella vaccination is much like a flu shot for humans, in that, following their vaccination, there is a possibility that your dog might contract a mild form of the strain. As a result, your dog may be contagious and pass it on to other dogs. Therefore, there is a mandatory 2-week waiting period after receiving the Bordetella vaccine before your dog can attend Kali’s Cottage.
